According to the Education Department of Gujarat Government for admission to Pharmacy courses in Class 12th (10+2) Science stream after Degree Engineering, Degree/Diploma in Year-2017 A provision has been introduced to make GUJCET examination compulsory as a common entrance test. According to the said resolution for the year-2025 in the State for admission to Degree Engineering, Degree/Diploma Pharmacy Courses Group-A, Group-B and Group-AB of science streams.
Some Important Information for GUJCET Exam 2025
- Exam Date: 23/03/2025 on Sunday from 10-00 AM to 16-00 PM at district level centers.
- Expected Application Form Release: (To be announced by GSHSEB, likely December 2024)
- Expected Admit Card Availability: (To be announced by GSHSEB, likely March 2025)
Exam Pattern and Syllabus
There will be question papers for Gujarat Common Entrance Test with multiple choice types of objective type questions on the following topics and the questions, marks and time will be indicated against it.

The question paper of Physics and Chemistry will be combined. That is, 40 questions from Physics and 40 questions from Chemistry, total 80 questions, 80 marks and 120 minutes time will be given. OMR Answer Sheet will also be for 80 answers. Biology and Mathematics question paper will be different. OMR answer sheet for which will also be given separately. That is, 40 marks of 40 questions and 60 minutes time will be
given in Biology and Mathematics each. OMR Answer Sheet will also have 40 answers for each subject.
The GUJCET is a pen-and-paper based offline exam with a total duration of 3 hours. It tests your knowledge and understanding of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, all based on the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board’s (GSHSEB) curriculum for Class 12 Science Stream, following the NCERT textbooks. The existing syllabus prescribed by the board for the NCERT based class-12 science stream will
be for the GUJCET-2025 examination. Here’s a breakdown of the exam format:
- Physics & Chemistry (Combined): 80 questions (40 from Physics, 40 from Chemistry) – 120 minutes (2 hours)
- Mathematics: 40 questions – 60 minutes (1 hour)
Medium of Examination
The question papers of the examination will be given in three mediums namely Gujarati, English and Hindi.
